There are four carriers in operation during the sailing season. They offer trips running on a fixed schedule or even on a charter basis, throughout the entire lake system.

The canal is open for passenger services from 1 May to 30 September (in some cases, until later in the autumn).
Boats run according to schedule during peak season. See the below websites for times.

Håverud–Bengtsfors

A classic day trip between Håverud and Bengtsfors which takes around six hours (Please note, you cannot depart from both Håverud and Bengtsfors) where you can eat lunch on board and enjoy the wonderful canal and locks, passing through eight lock stations and experiencing the stunningly beautiful natural scenery. You’ll travel the first leg by passenger boat and return on an old, traditional railcar along the Railway of Beautiful Views (DVVJ).

From Monday to Saturday, one of the boats departs Håverud at 10.50 a.m.
From Monday to Saturday, one of the boats departs Bengtsfors at 9.50 a.m.

M/S Nils Ericson af Håverud

Håverud–Råvarpen

We offer a fantastic canal trip on board our vessel, M/S Nils Ericson af Håverud. Beginning in Håverud, you trip passes through the Aqueduct up to Lake Åklång before continuing through the hand-operated lock in Buterud. Following a trip on Lake Råvarp, you’ll return to Håverud via the Aqueduct.

Departs daily at 1.15 p.m. from 23 June to 17 August (inclusive).
Refreshment served on board. The journey takes around 3.5 hours.
